Rachel reflects in Pata ('dyke' in Puerto Rican Spanish) on her experiences as a Latina lesbian - discussing how the vernacular usage of 'queer' still doesn't feel right to reclaim, how queer communities police other queer folks (and how the communities seem just as a invested in heteronormativity as the straight world), and discusses the complicated feelings that come with "checking off the boxes" when filling out forms. Rachel put this together for the 2015 Feminist Zine Fest, and it's a short but sweet, relatable, and thought provoking goodie!
